The father-daughter bond: Hinegardner excels at Central with a little help from family
WOODSTOCK With the winter air making it too cold to be outside, David Hinegardner placed a mattress against a wall in the unfinished basement of his home. That's where he would toss a ball for hours at a time to his 7-year-old daughter, Brea, who took her first cuts with a bat, hitting the ball over and over into the mattress.
