The Columbia Furnace Church of the Brethren, west of Woodstock, will hold a community prayer gathering on Friday at 7 p.m.
The St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble from Russia will present a concert on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Columbia Furnace United Methodist Church in Edinburg.
Nov. 22 - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene. Crafts, baked goods. Food available. Information: 636-2881, 635-2090.
Nov. 22 - 7 p.m. at Riverton United Methodist Church. Featuring The Crosstones. Those attending have been asked to bring a non-perishable food item. Benefit: area food pantries.
The Cedar Creek Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will hold a community Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
Those attending have been asked to bring a covered dish.
Nov. 23 - 11 a.m. at Shenandoah Farms Baptist Church, Front Royal. Featuring Danny Figgins.
Rev. Richard Craver will preach at the community Thanksgiving service on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Zion Christian Church(Disciples of Christ).
The Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, west of Woodstock, will hold a Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The offering and donated food items will benefit the Bread of Life Food Pantry.
The Rev. William Ballance, Jr. will preach at the worship service on Thanksgiving Day at 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas Chapel in Middletown. Special music will be provided by Linda Nichols.
The First Baptist Church will provide a Thanksgiving Day meal from 1 to 3 p.m. to persons who are alone or single. Delivery and transportation is available.

The Toms Brook United Methodist Church will celebrate "Bring A Friend to Church" at its worship service on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday school begins at 11 a.m.
The St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will present the comedy "Our Miss Brooks" will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets: $5. Information: 635-3780.
Dec. 6 - 6-8 p.m. at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, west of Mt. Jackson. Christmas story and carols performed during the evening. Refreshments.
On Sundays the Strasburg Presbyterian Church holds a contemporary worship service, with music by the Praise and Worship Team at 8:30 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m.
Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. A continental breakfast follows the early service.
Feb. 14 - 6-11 a.m. at Reliance United Methodist Church. $4; $2/child.
