Mom, dad, grandparents, coaches and youth sports league coordinators: Get your youth sports news posted on the Daily's Community Youth Sports blog. Send press releases, game stories and stats to info@nvdaily.com. Add "Youth Sports" to the e-mail subject line.

We're also looking for photos from the games. Send photos in jpg format to submissions@nvdaily.com. Photos should be no larger than 500 pixels wide and caption information should be included. We also need a parent's permission to run photos of children that are recognizable in the photo.

18U Loudoun Storm tryouts

(From a press release) The 18U Loudoun Storm will hold tryouts from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at Loudoun Valley High School and from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26 and 28 at Summit Point.

The 18ULoudoun Storm is a second year 18U team under the guidance of new head coach Steve Carroll and his assistants Tabi Mercuruio Paul Wolford.

Woodstock-Edinburg Little League Fall Ball

Woodstock-Edinburg Little League will hold open registration for Fall Ball 6-7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 11 and Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the Woodstock Little League fields picnic shelter off of Cemetery Road.

Fall Ball is open to anyone aged 6 and over. Fall Ball does not follow Little League boundaries. Players in all areas are welcome to play in the Woodstock-Edinburg program. Registration is $20.

Woodstock-Edinburg Little League Fall Ball

(from a press release) Woodstock-Edinburg Little League will hold Fall Ball again this year. Fall Ball is open to baseball players aged 7 and over, softball is for ages 9 and over. Practices will begin in August with games starting in September. Registration is $20 which covers the cost of the shirt and balls for the games. Fall Ball is an instructional league where players can enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere of learning the sport. Boys and girls will play in the division for the 2009 Little League season. This is a great chance for these young players to get their feet wet in their new division. Registration is open July 7-31. This year you have three ways to register: 1. You can register by downloading the registration form here . Fill out the form and mail it with your check for $20. 2. Registration forms are being mailed to all active players in the next two weeks. Fill out the form and mail it with your check for $20. 3. Register online here . You can pay for your registration online with our secure network. There is a small online fee which will be added to your total at checkout. In the event there are not enough players in a division the registration fee will be refunded. Flag football league

Warren County Parks and Recreation is accepting registrations for Co-Ed Flag Football League for ages 5-11. This league is sponsored and governed by the National Football League. The cost is $40 per child, and registration will be accepted until June 27. Contact 635-7750 for more information.

Hershey Track & Field Meet set for May 10

(From a press release) The Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting their Annual Local Hershey Track & Field Meet on Saturday, May 10 at the Southern Campus Track Field (behind North Fork Middle School, Quicksburg). Check-in time will be at 8 a.m. and the meet will begin at 9 a.m.

The Hershey Track and Field Meet is for youth between the ages of 9 and 14 (as of Dec. 31). For registration and more information, contact your P.E. teacher or call the Parks and Recreation Department at (540) 984-3030.
